post-patchFor 40 years, Post 53 has provided the town of Darien, CT with emergency medical services, while providing local high school students with an exceptional opportunity to serve their community. The dedicated volunteers of Post 53 man three fully-equipped state-of-the-art ambulances, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Post 53 Students Complete Intensive Six-Month Training Course

 

 Final Extrication Exercise Provided Realistic Traffic-Accident Training in Partnership with Noroton Fire Department

Twenty-six students completed Post 53's training program on March 12 to become State-certified EMTs by participating in the "final" extrication exercise conducted with the Noroton Fire Department volunteers.  In addition, five adults completed the course and will join Post as Adult Advisors.
