Darien EMS-Post 53 has a dedicated and committed group of volunteer leaders including the Board of Darien EMS - Post 53, Friends of Post 53, a Community Advisory Board and six Young Adult Officers who are elected annually.

Director of Post 53 is Ron Hammer, along with Deputy Directors Nancy Herling and Margo Benton who are supported by a corps of highly trained and experienced adult advisors.

Young adult leadership is headed by the officers elected each year by the Post membership.  The 2012-2013 officers are President Emily Greene,  VP Operations Jack Johnston, VP Training Juliane Roach, VP Programming Annabel Schneider, Secretary Caroline Weihs and Treasurer Dom Hansford.
